Today’s sortie for BBC East Midlands Today followed the developing saga of the Brian Clough statue. Two years of hard work have seen a group of faithful supporters raise enough cash to fund a statue of Old Big ‘Ead himself for Nottingham’s Market Square. Only three artists are in the running now and the public’s input will help shape the ultimate decision. I suspect the one pictured is the one that will get chosen, as it was the only one that looked like him (quite an important aspect in my book).
