University Alumni Awards

Last night the University of Nottingham held its Alumni Laureate Award ceremony, acknowledging the great work of its former students. Over the past two months I’ve been making films about all six winners which were shown at the event. One example was the Professional Achievement Award.
These films were shown before the relevant acceptance speech and I think really helped each winner to talk about the great work they do in their field without seeming ego-centric. In fact I was a bit taken aback by how the film and subsequent speeches complimented each other.
Another element I found interesting was incorporating third party filming. It’s something I tend to shy away from, but the footage captured in Zambia for the Recent Alumna Award totally brought this story home.
